Polyteck has secured a £200,000 contract to replace and upgrade the fire detection and alarm system at Harley House, a prestigious mansion block in London’s Marylebone. This project highlights Polyteck’s expertise in delivering advanced fire safety solutions for high-end residential properties.

Upgrading Fire Safety at Harley House

Built over 120 years ago, Harley House offers some of London’s most sought-after residential spaces. Ensuring the safety and security of its tenants is of the utmost importance. D&G Block Management tasked Polyteck with removing the outdated conventional fire detection and alarm systems and installing a state-of-the-art replacement.

The new system boasts several vital advancements:

  • Hybrid Analogue EMS Radio System: This modern technology provides reliable fire detection throughout the building.
  • Radio Heat Detection Technology: Each apartment and communal space is equipped with this advanced detection system.
  • EMS FireCell Radio Detection and Sounders: Installed in common areas like stairwells and reception, these ensure timely warnings in case of fire.
  • Cause and Effect System: A centralized control panel at the Porters Lodges manages delays, notifications, and controls for the entire system.

Polyteck will also be responsible for the fire detection system’s ongoing maintenance and repair, ensuring its continued effectiveness.

A Collaborative Effort for a Prestigious Property

“We are delighted to bring our expertise to Harley House,” said Alex Georgiev, Operations Director at Polyteck. “This stunning mansion block deserves the best possible fire safety solutions, and our systems will protect residents for generations to come.”

Sean Palmer, Building Services Engineer at Watts Group (project consultants), added. “This project involved working around residents, and we commend Polyteck for their efficiency and consideration. The new fire detection and alarm systems meet the high standards expected of such a prestigious building.”
