Polyteck Building Services recently had the privilege of supporting Islington Council’s community training programme by donating essential tools and materials. This enabled us to contribute to their programme and support their success. At Polyteck, we firmly believe in giving back to the community and investing in initiatives that have a positive impact on society. Our partnership with Islington Council has allowed us to make a meaningful contribution to the betterment of society, and we are grateful for this opportunity.

Facilitating Hands-On Learning Experiences
Annette Knight and Tia Minides, two integral members of our team, spearheaded the efforts to make this initiative a reality. Following communication with Islington Council’s representative, they promptly obtained the list of required equipment. Within a matter of days, the tools and equipment were swiftly delivered, ensuring seamless progress for the project. The donation comprised a variety of tools and materials essential for the training program’s success. This included items such as the Cramer Fugi Profiling Tool Kit, DeWalt Cordless SDS Plus Drill, masonry drill bits, impact screwdriver bit sets, waterproof fix & grout, and sanitary silicone. These resources are vital for facilitating hands-on learning experiences and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the training sessions.
Islington Supports Skills Development
Each year, Islington Council offers a multitude of free adult and community learning courses in various community venues around the borough, designed to assist unemployed and low-paid residents in developing their skills and confidence. Charmaine Brouard, Repairs Training Manager at Islington Council, revealed that between April and July, residents have booked over 30 sessions, with approximately 60 attendees thus far. As a facilities management company, we are honoured to lend our support to the construction programmes. Knowing that our provision of resources enables them to deliver a fantastic training programme is deeply fulfilling.
“I wanted to send my thanks to Polyteck . Your contribution of tools and materials is a important to the success of the project . It means that we can have enough resources to deliver a great programme of training… So once again, thanks very much for your support”

Fostering Social Connections and Well-Being
In addition to acquiring new skills, participants have experienced the enriching benefits of social interactions and community engagement. One resident shared her personal journey, expressing how the program motivated her to step out of her home. Ultimately, she found that it enhanced her mental well-being through meaningful connections with others. Polyteck takes great pride in contributing to such a commendable cause. We understand the significance of providing essential resources to organisations like Islington Council. They enrich residents’ lives and foster community development in a pivotal way.
Continuing Commitment to Collaboration
As we envision the future, Polyteck reaffirms its commitment to maintaining our partnership with Islington Council and backing initiatives that actively improve our community. Together, we have the power to forge a brighter and more empowered future for all residents. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Razaul Karim, Sarah Thompson, and Charmaine Brouard for their seamless cooperation, which has enabled us to contribute to this meaningful cause. Your partnership and collaboration are invaluable as we unite to create positive change within our community.
