Polyteck Expands Facilities Maintenance Operations with £6m Doha Contract

Polyteck Group has secured a £6m, five-year contract with Cushman & Wakefield. The company will provide facilities maintenance services at Beach Tower, a 34-storey residential building in Doha’s West Bay. This agreement strengthens Polyteck’s presence in the Middle East and reinforces its position in high-end property management.

Comprehensive Maintenance for High-Rise Residential Buildings

Beach Tower consists of 264 apartments and a penthouse health club, serving 500 residents. Maintaining a large residential building requires a structured approach to essential systems. Polyteck will oversee mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) maintenance, life safety infrastructure, water treatment, and civil works.

One key challenge in high-rise buildings is ensuring reliable HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) performance. Poor airflow management leads to inefficiencies, increased energy costs, and tenant complaints. To prevent this, Polyteck’s team will implement predictive maintenance. This approach helps reduce unexpected failures and extends the lifespan of critical systems.

Another priority is life safety. Fire detection, alarm systems, and emergency lighting must be inspected regularly to meet safety standards. Ignoring these systems can lead to compliance failures and potential risks. Routine checks and swift repairs ensure safety and operational reliability.

Ensuring Water Quality and Preventing Common Issues for Beach Tower

Water treatment plays a vital role in maintaining Beach Tower. In regions with high mineral content, untreated water can cause scale build-up in pipework and heating systems. This reduces efficiency and leads to costly repairs. Polyteck’s water quality management will focus on Legionella control, system maintenance, and long-term performance.

Leaks are another frequent issue in both new and older buildings. Even small leaks can cause serious structural damage if left unchecked. Using advanced leak detection technology, combined with routine inspections, helps prevent major water damage and reduces insurance risks.

Polyteck’s Expansion and Industry Expertise

With this contract, Polyteck’s Middle East operations generate £1m annually. The company continues to expand through key partnerships, including its work with Al Shaya. Its expertise in luxury property maintenance ensures high standards and aligns with international best practices.

Chairman John Polycarpou stated: “This contract strengthens our footprint in the Middle East. It reflects our ability to deliver high-quality facilities maintenance. Qatar presents strong growth opportunities, especially with increasing demand for professional property services. We look forward to working with Cushman & Wakefield and applying our expertise in the region.”

By focusing on data-driven maintenance, compliance, and sustainability, Polyteck delivers long-term value for commercial and residential property owners. Its structured approach ensures efficiency, safety, and reliability at Beach Tower and beyond.
